Referral Counselor & Manitoba Drug Rehab Facilities

A referral counsellor will help you find a good private treatment center servicing Manitoba. We believe that too many Canadians are suffering from substance abuse and not getting the instant services needed. Our counsellors know the available private drug rehab centers in Canada.

We aim to find a good drug and alcohol addiction rehab center right for your situation and needs. Regardless of whether you are searching for a funded or private center, waiting will only bring problems with relapse or worse. You can find different contact numbers here or visit this link for government-funded services.

Rehab Manitoba the Right Service

Inpatient, Outpatient, Counselling or Coaching

In Manitoba and across the country you can find inpatient programs, outpatient treatments and also addiction counselling and coaching services. Which is right depends on the individual addiction case level.

For example, someone who has been heavily drinking for some years will not do well with counselling. The level of care this person needs would be found in a residential (inpatient) treatment facility. A structured environment with 24/7 care is available there.

Another example is someone who feels a loss of control over their consumption but still can maintain their job and responsibility. That person could benefit from addiction counselling or a coaching service.

Medical Detox When is it Necessary

What is medical detox as compared to a “regular” detox? Who needs medical detox?

Medical Detox

Medical detox is a supervised process overseen by healthcare professionals.

 Who Needs It?

  • People who are at risk of seizures, delirium tremens (DTs), or life-threatening effects.
  • Individuals who are dependent on high-risk substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids.
  • Those with underlying health conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, and other medical conditions.
  • People who have experienced past withdrawal complications.
  • Long-term, heavy substance users like chronic users of alcohol, opioids, or sedatives.

Examples of Substances Requiring Medical Detox:

  • Alcohol risks seizures, DTs, and high blood pressure. See more on alcohol withdrawal here.
  • Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium, Ativan), there is a risk of life-threatening withdrawal and seizures.

Finding Support for Someone’s Addiction

It can be overwhelming for families in Manitoba to live with a drug or alcohol addiction. Often, not knowing what to do about it increases the feeling of being overwhelmed. For families with an addicted member, we suggest getting help and support from groups such as Al-Anon and Nar-Anon. They provide a supportive setting where you can share with others experienced with similar situations. You can learn new coping mechanisms from others and not feel so alone.

You can visit their websites for more details, Al-Anon Family Groups, and Nar-Anon Family Groups.

When you Contact Us

For a Manitoba Rehab

When you call our number from Manitoba, a referral counsellor will answer. They will start by assessing the case by asking you different questions about the person. That will permit them to determine the level of care the individual needs. They will then suggest the appropriate addiction service and discuss these with you.

Once agreed on a center, they will have that facility call you and discuss further any other questions you may have. When all is good, the intake counsellor of the rehab can start the admission process immediately.

If, for some reason, the center is not what you expected, call us back, and we will find another one for you. We offer our help across Canada, so there are no regional limitations. You’ll never know what we can do until you call, so please don’t hesitate.
