There are two options for drug rehabilitation: publicly or privately funded centres. Many have similar approaches, and others have alternative programs. However, the service provided to residents is different.
Unfortunately, funded treatment centres have a waitlist. If you are looking in that direction, you might want to call the centre and get informed on their admission procedure. Most public access recovery programs will follow the same guidelines and have waiting lists. Most families’ problem with community centres is the limited bed capacity and a waiting list, making it challenging when the addicted person reaches for help.
In many cases, people are to sign up and wait for a bed to become available. This often takes weeks and sometimes months. It’s not that drug and alcohol rehabs in Calgary are at fault here, but the established system for treatment programs across Canada.

Then, wait for a bed to be available. Many government drug and alcohol rehabs in Calgary will not admit a person if they test positive for substances. Because most of these facilities do not offer detox with their main program, they cannot accept someone who isn’t properly detoxed.
There is a well-known and observable fact: a person with an addiction will start to crave sooner or later. Abstinence is accompanied, most times, by pains, tremors, severe emotional curves, and a whole list of effects, making it hard for them to stay “clean.”
